As expected, Jesuit's baseball team fell from the top spot in the ESPN RISE national poll after suffering its first loss to Sarasota last week, falling five spots to No. 6. However, the Tigers are not the only Hillsborough County program in the national Top 25 this week. The Alonso Ravens made a big jump from No. 31 to No. 20 in this week's poll, giving the county two national top 25 teams. Alonso secured a spot in the 2009 state playoffs after knocking off Countryside in a Class 6A-District 7 semifinal on Tuesday. ...more
