This letter is to inform the readers as to the Gallop Poll's most recent findings on the pro life-pro choice positions. The findings in the poll say that the pro life position is held by 51 percent of its respondents as opposed to 44 percent of its respondents who hold the pro choice position. I submit that this indicates more and more citizens of this great nation are awakening to the horror of abortion on demand. ...more

For one claiming to favor fewer abortions, President Obama, with less than two months in office, has unilaterally acted to use my taxes to federally fund abortions and human embryonic stem cell research. Next on his agenda is to endorse the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) which will put into effect the most liberal abortion policy every introduced in the United States. ...more

Thank you to Gingerlee Mitchelllindo who responded in opposition to my attack on the proposed Freedom of Choice Act (FOCAS.) I was concerned that no one cared enough to react unfavorably. Rather than reply with personal attacks, I am anxious to respond to your several arguments. From my experience in pro-life work, I know the leaders of this movement are predominantly women, not men. ...more

Poor Museum Coverage As one of a couple of thousand people who witnessed the grand opening of the new Tampa Bay History Center, I was surprised at the lack of coverage from the local media, both print and broadcast, particularly since it was a momentous occasion in Tampa history in its own right. ...more

I read with interest the letter titled simply "Conservatives" printed on Jan. 20 in Highlands Today. Frankly, Roger, reading your letter was a bit confusing. I could not determine whether you intended to drop a bomb on all conservatives, or whether you were mainly critical of such people as George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, etc. ...more

Who's The Real Enemy? In a war, we need to know the enemy. And to my understanding, we did not know the enemy during this past election. With those of color, I rejoice that a person of color got elected. However, I cannot go with his desire for abortions, here and around the world, at the expense of our tax dollars. ...more

I write this in good faith, do you believe in the Christian way and fear God at all? Then you will realize the spiritual warfare at hand in this crucial hour, in our nations and state. This election is just that, if you do not vote Bible we are in serious trouble. This election should not be about black, white, Hispanic, etc., it should be about moral and spiritual Bible believing people coming together for mercy and blessings from God to us, not how taxes, medical issues, war, or recessions are being promised to go away on both sides, but our love for our nation to stand up and vote prolife. ...more

Ever since Roe vs. Wade was legislated from the bench by Blackmun, Burger, Douglas, Brennan, and Stewart, with White and Rehnquist dissenting, many so-called Christians have willingly given support to their political party's continuous platform regarding abortion. Two years after our Supreme Court approved the murder of innocent babies, the German Supreme Court banned abortions, labeling such atrocities as a return to Nazism. ...more
