RESORCE, the private group that is trying to get more Pasco County residents interested in recycling, held a telephone directory recycling effort that collected more than three times the tonnage its leaders were expecting. The County Commission received a lot of calls last week from people expressing opposition to expanding the Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility. What spurred the calls – a flyer that appeared in many Pasco mailboxes last week. The mass mailing warned of possible pollution from an expanded resource recovery facility, which burns garbage to produce electricity.
