The community that prides itself on its pristine neighborhoods and planned parks may be going to the dogs. Westchase leaders are considering adding a dog park to the community. Greg Chesney, chairman for the Westchase East Community Development District, wants staff to research what it would take to add the park. He is proposing the park be placed on CDD-owned property under the Tampa Electric Co. easement. He estimates the project would cost about $22,000 including fencing, benches and trash cans. ...more
