The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has charged the owner of a waste-tire hauling company with illegally dumping about 20,000 to 30,000 tires on property he rents for his business, according to an arrest report. Duane James, 59, of 5212 Lady Rose Court, Lutz, also faces a charge of failing to comply with environmental rules because he didn't have the required permit from the DEP to store more than 1,500 waste tires at the site, the report said. ...more
