Water service has been turned off to approximately 400 homes in east Hillsborough while crews work to repair a leak at a connection on an 8-inch pipeline. Once water service is restored, these customers are advised to boil tap water used for cooking and drinking through at least Friday morning. Customers affected are along John Moore Road, south of Wild Oak Drive to the Alafia River, including all streets and subdivisions thatconnect to John Moore in this area. In the late 1980s Pasco County was contemplating what to do with its swelling stream of solid waste. It could create a new landfill, what people once called a garbage dump.
