PHCC to spotlight Chasco Camera Club

NEW PORT RICHEY - Pasco-Hernando Community College's Art Gallery plans a January exhibit showcasing work by members of the Chasco Camera Club.

The exhibit, "Photographs," will run from Jan. 12 until Feb. 17, according to PHCC spokeswoman Courtney Boettcher.

An opening reception, sponsored by the student activities office, is planned for 3 - 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14.

Active since 1973, the Chasco Camera Club has held photo exhibits in various government centers, galleries and libraries on the Suncoast, Boettcher explains in a press release.

Club exhibits frequently features images of local and international scenes. Subjects include: animals; scenery; people and still life in color; black and white; and infrared photography.

The local group belongs to the Photographic Society of America and the Florida Camera Club Council.

The PHCC gallery is part of the Alric Pottberg Library, at PHCC West Campus, 10230 Ridge Road.

Regular exhibit hours at the gallery are from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
