Psychedelic art exhibit

Pasco-Hernando Community College's West Campus, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey, will have an opening reception from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, for "Psychedelic Visions," an exhibition of selected works by world-renowned artist David Kastner.

The multicolored, psychedelic visions of David Kastner follow the analytical geography of a hypothetical, imaginary 'other time' in which clarification becomes confused, self-awareness is dispelled, and the mind is bewildered. Through combined aesthetic and technical fantasy, everything is chaotically predisposed in a well-ordered, chance convergence. In addition to creating art forms, Kastner currently instructs art appreciation and drawing courses at PHCC.

The exhibit will run through Dec. 15.

The PHCC gallery is located in the Alric Pottberg Library. Regular exhibit hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For more information about private viewings or to schedule a group event, call 727-816-3229.
