Hudson JROTC takes trophies
HUDSON - The Hudson High School JROTC Raider Team took home three trophies last week during a competition testing physical gumption and strategic prowess.
The Raider Mix Team came in third place overall. The Mix Land Navigation Team finished first. Cadet Capt. Kyle Hall came in second place for sit-ups and Cadet Sgt. Elizabeth Troche (push-ups), Cadet Second Lt. Cassie Overton (sit-ups), Cadet Capt. Kara Eichel (one-mile run) and Cadet Chris Carpe (Army Physical Fitness Test) all finished third in their respective events.
High school officials wanted
High school game officials for the 2009-10 basketball and softball seasons are being sought after by the West Central Official's Association, which covers Pasco and Hernando counties.

Youth sports registrations
The local i9 Sports organization is holding open registration for its winter flag football league.
There are no tryouts and every rostered player gets in each game. The league is open for boys and girls ages 4-15 and the playing fields are in Land O' Lakes, Hudson and New Port Richey.
The season runs from early January through the middle of March.
A national organization based in Tampa, i9 Sports focuses on sportsmanship and giving everyone getting the opportunity to participate.
