Dazed, confused

Editor:

Help me, please, I'm confused. It's all this political doo-doo. I hear from Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh that President Obama is a communist Hitlerite who is taking our country to hell.

I go to the tea parties because I was brought up to believe that's what ladies do.

One elderly woman told me God would strike me dead if I ever voted Democrat. But my friend Sally is a Democrat and she tells me the problem with Obama is he's too Republican.

I don't know what that means, except being against Obama. If he is a Socialist, is that one of those Wall Street clubs?

I'm a social person myself. At a football-watching party I went to two guys who were talking politics and one said that Obama was bankrupting the country.

The other said the country was already bankrupt when Obama took over so he had to do the bailout and stimulus programs.

That same guy was saying we couldn't afford to go to Afghanistan, while the first guy was saying we had to win that war.

I don't know. With the economy so sucky, shouldn't we spend the money here? But Rush says spending money on Obama's health care bill would be a socialistic government takeover - messing around with Medicare and free enterprise.

My own policy was canceled when I got sick, so I know.

Over on MSNBC, Keith Oberlmann or somebody was saying that today's Republican Party is somewhat to the right of Attila the Hun.

Was he a Bolshevik?
