HUDSON - As older residents watch their pensions shrink during the recession, some might be looking for work.
So an area social service agency will present a Senior Job Fair this Tuesday, May 19, as part of Older Americans Month.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. until noon at the CARES Rao Musunuru, M.D., Enrichment Center, 12417 Clock Tower Parkway.
"We will be assisting seniors with the creation or updating of resumes," Clark Parry, the center's director, explained in a press release. The Musunuru Center has a computer lab to help seniors conduct job hunts.
"Seniors offer prospective employers experience, knowledge and dedication," Parry commented. "Take advantage of this opportunity to acquire enthusiastic, talented workers who have a wealth of experience."
The job fair's organizers hope to recruit up to 20 companies, Parry reports. Personnel departments can call the center at 727-863-6868 to reserve a table at the job fair.
Those interested in updating or creating a resume can also call the same phone number for an appointment to use the center's computers.
