Headliner at event cancels due to illness

TRINITY - Dave Smith - "The Man in Back" - who was scheduled to appear at the Mother's Day celebration tonight, May 9, at the Shops of Longleaf has canceled his appearance at 7:30 p.m. due to illness. Smith has played tributes to Johnny Cash's music for more than 40 years.

However, the event will continue with The Zoots at 7:30 p.m. The local group plays classic rock music.

Activities are planned for the whole family. Mothers will receive special pampering, such as free flowers and chair massages. And while mom is working out the tension, children can be occupied at craft stations where they can make her a Mother's Day gift on the spot.
