Chasco Fiesta Names Street Parade, Car Show Winners

NEW PORT RICHEY - The winners in the 2009 Chasco Fiesta street parade and the Gulfside Corvette Club Chasco Car, Truck and Bike Show have been announced.
Street parade
In the professional float category, Krewe of Chasco earned the Most Outstanding Float Award.
The Best Special Effects Award went to Krewe of Brigadoon.
Krewe of Santa Margarita took home Most Entertaining honors.
Judges thought the St. Petersburg Festival of States float had the best use of color.
In the nonprofessional float category, the New Port Richey Bucs team in the Police Athletic League claimed the Most Outstanding Float Award.
The entry from Five Guys Hamburgers and Fries had best special effects, judges said.
Calvary Chapel Worship Center was judged to have the most entertaining entry.
Clown Krewe took home honors for best use of color.
Also, the Best Out-Of-Town Entry Award went to Krewe of Caribbean Cowboys.
Car show
The Best of Show Overall Award went to Steve DeLong and his 2002 Chevy Avalanche.
Best of Show Automobile was a 1969 Camaro pace car from Kem and Charlie Casselle.
Best of Show Motorcycle went to Dream Cycles and its 2008 Custom Radical.
Michael Fenzau, with a 1953 Chevy 3100, earned best of Show Truck.
