Our economy is in a shambles and thanks to our lawmakers it is going to get worse. They will give money again to the banks and the bankers will spend it on bonuses. How does any of this help?
Instead, they should have taken these trillions of dollars and given $250,000 to $500,000 to people 18 and older and let them stimulate the economy. They could put that money in the banks, bailing them out through the front door, not the back. They could also use it to keep their homes from foreclosure or buy new houses or cars, stimulating the economy.
The government can't figure out what to do with banks' bad assets? It's simple. Give people the money to buy their houses back and the bad debt goes away.
Nowhere in the Constitution does it say we have to bail out bankrupt companies with our tax money.
