Chasco Fiesta King And Queen Crowned

NEW PORT RICHEY - Phil Chesnut is King Pithla of the 2009 Chasco Fiesta, and Evie Parks will reign as Queen Chasco.

The pair was crowned during Friday night's Chasco Fiesta Coronation Ball, at Spartan Manor.

Chesnut was nominated by New Port Richey Rotary. He is a past president of the service club. In addition, Chesnut is treasurer of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce, the prime Chasco Fiesta organizing group.

Chesnut is also a member of the New Port Richey Jaycees, Florida Bankers Association and many other groups. He has been honored as the Gator of the Year and received a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.

Evie Parks was also nominated by New Port Richey Rotary. She is on the club's board and has served as chairwoman of many community events.

In addition, Parks is on the boards of directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Pasco. She works as the Chasco Fiesta Golf Tournament director. She helps the United Way, Hope United Methodist Church, All Children's Hospital, Junior Service League, Sertoma Speech and Hearing, Salvation Army and more.

She received the Good Neighbor Award from the Red Cross and was named a Paul Harris Fellow.

Other nominees for King Pithla were Tim Sherrell, Bob Memoli, Tom Kehoe, Shawn Fawcett, Tracy Livingston, Lee Murphy, Dan Rock and Bruce Frey.

Other Queen Chasco nominees were Candace Glewen, Vickie Chansler, Bonnie Howard, Kelly Armstrong, Tina Shelton, Jamie Mick, Victoria Barley, Dionne Blaesing, Julie Rogers, Patti Ammons, Laurel Robinson, Stefanie Ambrosio and Mary Julian.
