Nominees Named For King And Queen Of Chasco Fiesta

NEW PORT RICHEY - Nominees have been named for King Pithla and Queen Chasco who will reign over festivities during the 2009 Chasco Fiesta.

The new royal couple will be crowned at the Coronation Ball on Friday, March 20, at Spartan Manor, 6121 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey. This year's Chasco Fiesta will take place March 19 - 29.

The Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind sponsors the event. Proceeds go toward training programs for people who are blind or suffer vision impairments.

The 2008 winners, King Pithla Frank Grey and Queen Chasco Carole Pearson, will pass their crowns to the successors. The honor recognizes commitment toward making the community a better place, organizers of the ball say.

Queen Chasco nominees

Evie Parks, Candace Glewen, Vickie Chansler, Bonnie Howard, Kelly Armstrong, Tina Shelton, Jamie Mick, Victoria Barley, Dionne Blaesing, Julie Rogers, Patti Ammons, Laurel Robinson, Stefanie Ambrosio and Mary Julian.

King Pithla nominees

Phil Chesnut, Tim Sherrell, Bob Memoli, Tom Kehoe, Shawn Fawcett, Tracy Livingston, Lee Murphy, Dan Rock and Bruce Frey.
