My condolences to Andrew Nappi, the letter writer whose son was killed in 2007 when a vehicle crashed into his motorcycle and whose wife was injured in a recent crash. In 2001 my father was killed and a companion permanently disabled by a 16-year-old female driver while they were crossing the street in front of his home in Spring Hill.
Like the driver who struck Nappi's son, the girl received neither a ticket nor even a "slap on the wrist." There was not even a card of condolence.
Shame on our judicial system.
