Ridgewood to hold soccer camp
NEW PORT RICHEY - The coaching staff from Ridgewood High School will host a youth soccer camp for both boys and girls ages 8-15 July 20-24. The camps will be held at Ridgewood High School and will be split into two age groups. Kids 8-10 train each day 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. and those 11-15 from noon until 3 p.m.
The camp will cost $60 and includes a complimentary soccer ball and T-shirt.

Snook fishing tourney planned
TARPON SPRINGS - The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Suncoast will hold its Second Annual Yianni Patterson Memorial Snook Tournament on July 24 and 25. Entry fees are $75 per angler and the event is an all day, all night Snook fishing contest. It is a picture and release tournament and the biggest fish in inches wins. Cash and prizes are doled out for first through 10th place.
Following the day's fishing on the 25th, there will be a barbecue and live entertainment, featuring the Tarpon-based group, Locolism. Anglers attend free of charge. Adult guest can pay $10 and children $5 to enter.
All proceeds go toward the Boys and Girls Club of Tarpon Springs. The tournament is in memory of Yianni Patterson, a former club member who died in 2007.
