Confirm Sotomayor

I cannot believe the ugliness coming from the Republican talking heads regarding the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court. The venom spewing from the mouths of Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney, Newt Gingrich, and others is hateful and erroneous.
Judge Sotomayor has proven to be an exemplary student in college and law school, being selected as an editor of the Yale Law Journal, a choice position that is earned and highly competitive. Her professional career has also been exemplary.
Rich Lowry, in his recent op-ed page column, echoed the Republican mantra of fear and divisiveness that we have heard ad nauseam.
Judge Sotomayor needs to be confirmed and seated on the Supreme Court to protect our rights as provided in the Constitution.
