Karate demos set
NEW PORT RICHEY - Ingram's Karate Center of New Port Richey will present a free-to-the-public Black Belt Extravaganza Saturday, Feb. 7, at River Ridge High School.
The event will feature board breaking, karate, kumite freestyle fighting and other performances. Demonstrations will begin at 5 p.m. in the River Ridge Performing Arts Theatre.
Tickets are free and can be picked up in advance at Ingram's Karate Center, at 4116 Little Road, in the Grand Trinity Plaza. For more information, call 727-372-7673.
Two days of sign-ups left
NEW PORT RICHEY - Florida Fastbreak basketball programs will continue to take registrations until the beginning of February.
The organization is directed at players ages 5 - 18. There is a $60 fee to sign up. A team shirt will be provided.
All registration events are held at the Sports Authority store at 9560 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. The registrations will be held:
•Saturday: from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Jan. 31.
•Sunday: 1 - 5 p.m., Feb. 1.

Tourney Feb. 27
LAND O' LAKES - New - Port Richey-based Razor Golf will be hold its second Razor Golf Tournament on Feb. 27 at Plantation Palms Golf Club.
The tournament will be played on the four-man-scramble format.
The entry fee is $125 per team.
Every golfer will receive a dozen Titleist Pro V1x golf balls and a certificate for four to play Plantation Palms again.
A shotgun start at 12:30 will begin the day and prizes will be awarded to golfers in gross and net divisions.
Proceeds will go toward supporting the SPCA of West Pasco.
Paradise Palms Golf Club is at 23253 Plantation Palms Blvd., east of Collier Parkway.
