Here we go again. Tony D'Andrea, in his Jan. 14 letter to the editor, took off on the liberal media. He wrote, "Obama advocates a concept that is both offensive and foreign to the spirit of the Constitution and the American Dream, namely redistribution of wealth."
If I remember right, redistribution of wealth is not mentioned in the Constitution, but the preamble has the words, "promote the general welfare."
He also says the achievers pay the lion's share of our tax dollars. It is true that the wealthy pay what D'Andrea calls the lion's share because they have the pig's share of the money.
Didn't Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor and businessman, say his secretary pays a higher share of her income in taxes than he does?
