Thank you for your uplifting Jan. 14 front-page story by Cheryl Bentley regarding the rehabilitation of the beagle Magnum. In these days of negative news it is wonderful to see a story of compassion and caring from the wonderful veterinarian Dr. Valerie Fucci to the members of Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue.
In this disposable world of ours it would have been easier to put down the limping Magnum. Luckily, the Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue folks did not choose this easy way.
I have had experience with Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue. I was fortunate to adopt Diana from them. Unfortunately, I had to let Diana go to the Rainbow Bridge at Thanksgiving.
It takes a lot of time, energy, love and money to do rescue work. Thank goodness there is such an organization.
We are not ready for another beagle but when we are we will contact Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue.
