NEW PORT RICHEY - The Ridgewood Lady Rams notched their 10th victory of the season Tuesday night by beating back a late second-half run from rival River Ridge and winning 55-48.
After the Rams looked to be taking control early in the third period, River Ridge (0-9) took off on a furious 11-0 run that spanned into the fourth and tied the game 40-40.
Ridgewood (10-7) would answer back immediately with a quick field goal from Daylyn Williamson. The senior guard was fouled during the basket and missed the free throw, but her offensive rebound was grabbed and put back in. That four-point swing was the start of a Ridgewood 13-0 run that put the game out of reach.
Williamson led all scorers with 20 points. Her twin sister Aleesa followed with nine of her own.
