I agree with the Dec. 24 letter to the editor from Joe Chiaramonte on the banishment of Christmas symbols from public places.

It is really sad how everything has turned out. None of our area television stations had any Christmas decorations. You could hardly find Christmas cards, only "Happy Holiday" cards.

Are we doing away with Christmas or what? If so, then they shouldn't have Christmas decorations in the malls – starting in October.
