With royal blue sequined tops, skirts fringed with blue feathers and perfectly matching tan pumps, members of the Suncoast Harmony Chorus are ready to roll.
They will present their annual concert Saturday, Feb. 21, in New Port Richey.
This year's show, "Steppin' Out on Broadway," will feature music of the Great White Way from the 1920s to the present sung in the chorus's signature four-part a cappella style.
The Ditchfield Family Singers and My Three Sons Quartet, composed of members of the Ditchield family, will also be featured.
"It's our big show," said the chorus' director Amy Riddle. Chorus numbers include "Another Opening, Another Show," "Give My Regards to Broadway," "It Had to Be You" and other favorites.
Numbers are choreographed and performed by both the entire chorus and quartets made up of chorus members.
During a recent dress rehearsal, the women clearly enjoyed throwing their own spin on old favorites through spirited choreography and perfect pitch.
"I'm Going to Wash That Man Right out of My Hair," from the musical "South Pacific," warranted special choreography and humor.
The 32-member chorus is the West Central Florida chapter of Sweet Adelines International, the world's largest singing organization for women. The local chapter has members from Pasco, Pinellas, Hernando, Hillsborough and Citrus counties.
The performance comes after the chorus captured second place last year at the Sweet Adelines regional competition in Daytona.
The eight-member Ditchfields are a real family who do a range of music, including music of the Old West and Big Bands, as well as contemporary tunes.
The Florida-based family has appeared on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club."
My Three Sons Quartet is made up of dad Stephen Ditchfield and his three sons Nathanael, Michael and David. The quartet was Florida novice quartet champions of the Barbershop Harmony Society and was invited to sing at that group's international convention.
They subsequently appeared in a Public Broadcasting Service program on barbershop singing.
The Ditchfields and their barbershop group are scheduled to perform for 30 minutes.
The chorus will be on stage for about 75 minutes.
