NEW PORT RICHEY - The recent Broadway hit "Jersey Boys" has rekindled interest in the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
So Pasco-Hernando Community College will present a tribute concert this Saturday, Feb. 7, to the group from the 1960s.
"Let's Hang On - A Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons Tribute" will start at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, on the West Campus in New Port Richey at 10230 Ridge Road.
The show will recall the distinctive sound of Valli's wailing falsetto and the group's impeccable harmonies. The cast will feature six singer-dancers, accompanied by a four-piece band, PHCC spokeswoman Courtney Boettcher explains.
Four Seasons' greatest hits included "Sherry," "Dawn (Go Away)," "Big Girls Don't Cry," and, during a 1976 comeback, "December 1963 (Oh What a Night)."
Four suit-clad guys joined by two female singers will recreate the sounds and classic dance steps of an era known for fun, uplifting music.
The four-piece band consists of accomplished musicians who have performed with artists as John Travolta, Leslie Gore, the Diamonds, The Coasters, The Drifters, Maynard Ferguson and more.
Ticket prices are $30, $27, and $23. Tickets are available online at www.phcc.edu/tix, by phone at 727-816-3707, or in person at the PHCC West Campus store from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Performing Arts Center Box Office will open one hour before show time, although ticket availability is not guaranteed.
