HPH Hospice milestones

June 1984 - State license received
November 1984 - First patient admitted
September 1986 - Rodney S. Taylor appointed as executive director
August 1991 - First satellite team office opens in Spring Hill
February 1992 - Second team office opens in Zephyrhills
May 1993 - Hudson Hospice House established
1994 - Dr. David McGrew becomes full-time medical director
July 1999 - Hospice House open in Spring Hill
September 2000 - Hospice House founded in Dade City
December 2000 - First Hospice Care Center opens in Brooksville
August 2003 - Grand opening of East Hernando team office
October 2003 - Hospice Thrift Store and More debuts
January 2004 - West Pasco Care Center is completed and first patients are served
June 2005 - Citrus County residents can access hospice's care
Summer 2007 - 1,000 patients are served on an average day
July 2008 - Tom Barb is appointed president and CEO
March 2009 - Hernando Hospice Care Center opens
June 2009 - Name change to HPH Hospice for 25th anniversary
