Can't understand

After reading Rich Lowry's April 4 op-ed page column, in which the blasted the United Auto Workers and its president, Ron Gettelfinger, it is clear Lowry has no idea how hard people worked in the automobile factories to make a living for their families.
Lowry has no clues as to the conditions under which they worked. It is people like him and his Republican Party who have wiped out our middle class.
After 31 years with Ford my husband can't hear, has heart problems and pulmonary fibrosis from the asbestos with which he was forced to work.
As the Indians say, until you have walked a mile in my moccasins you cannot understand anything I feel.
