It's obvious to me the answer to the question "Who's the fool?" on James Hibbs' Sept. 6 op-ed page column is it's the column's writer. A good reporter should check facts and not make up stories out of thin air or the media's biased fabrications.
Sarah Palin is infinitely more qualified to be "president" than Barack Obama. She has the experience of running city and state governments, while he doesn't have the background of even running a business. She had to make "yes" or "no" decisions and couldn't vote "present" as Obama did more than 130 times.
As far as energy is concerned, she supports all forms of energy exploration, including drilling. Who has Hibbs been listening to? Liberal professors at UF, or maybe Obama's opinion of Palin? He sure didn't hear a word of her acceptance speech.
A person is known by the friends he or she keeps. Palin's don't include a terrorist bomber of government buildings, a convicted real estate criminal and pastors who hate America.
I don't know her view of secession, but I would consider the only "country" worth seceding from is Washington, D.C., simply because they are not representing "We the people." They need to focus on the peoples' business, and not lobbyists, big business and lining their own pockets.
