The Baha'i of Pasco County will meet at the Pasco Baha'i Center, 1136 U.S. 19 N., Holiday, (behind the old Buddy Freddy's Restaurant), for its monthly "Meeting of the Minds," Saturday, Sept. 13. First Presbyterian Church of Port Richey, 7540 Ridge Road, invites children of kindergarten through fifth grade-age and their parents to celebrate Grandparent's Day, 12:30-2:30 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday. Children whose grandparents live far away are not able to spend much time together learning about each other's generation. This occasion will bring together grandchildren and grandparents who are missing this relationship. Children will participate in activities that include, crafts, story telling, making old-fashioned treats, and old fashion letter writing, (children will write letters to their own grandparents), with different grandparents. A free lunch will be offered at 12:30 p.m. for all. Parents are invited to a two-hour parenting seminar will be held by the Rev. Reid Isenhart, while children participate in their activities. St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 15801 U.S. 19, Hudson, will celebrate the beginning of its Sunday school fall term with special prayers, music and a blessing for children and their teachers, tomorrow, Sunday. Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs, 4651 Little Road, New Port Richey, is offering free "1,2,3 Magic" parenting class, 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 10 and 24, Oct. 1 and 29 and Nov. 5. The five-session class will be facilitated by Vance and Carol Stone and is based on the book "1, 2, 3 Magic for Christian Parents," by Thomas Phelan and Chris Webb. Unity Truth Center, 5844 Pine Hill Road, Port Richey, is joining Silent Unity, an international and transdenominational prayer ministry, in the observance of the 15th Annual United World Day of Prayer, themed "Celebrating Oneness, Healing the World," Thursday, Sept. 11. A prayer vigil will be held from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. in the sanctuary, immediately followed by a "Prayers for Peace" service that includes a recitation of prayers for peace from around the world, special music, and individual prayer support for attendees.
