TRINITY - Entertainers will pay tribute to some of the biggest stars of the past as part of Classic Hollywood Comes Alive Gala put on by the Rotary Club of Trinity, spokeswoman Becky Bennett reports.
The 11th annual black tie event includes a classic gourmet dinner, silent and live auctions and dancing to the entertainment headliners.
It will get under way at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Heritage Springs Country Club, 11345 Robert Trent Jones Parkway. Tickets are $100 and only 300 will be sold.
All proceeds support Trinity Rotary's stated mission, making a "positive difference in the health, education and welfare of the lives of children in our community first and then beyond our region."
For more then 10 years Trinity Rotary members have helped Youth and Family Alternatives Rap House runaway shelter, the Little Lighthouse of the Blind, YMCA's Share the Vision Campaign, the Interact Club of Genesis Prep School, the PACE Center for Girls, Safety Town, the Angelus, Pasco Kids First, and the Radio Disney Reading Program.
The Trinity club this year was recognized by Rotary District 6950 as the Mid-size Club of the Year for 2008, as well as being named Service Club of the Year by the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce.
Gala organizers are seeking sponsors or donations of auction items. For information call Becky Bennett at 727-452-4693 or send an e-mail to bbennetthfpasco@aol.com. Or go online to www.trinityrotary.org.>
