NEW PORT RICHEY - Tomorrow will be the last chance for Pasco residents to vote early.

Three West Pasco locations will be open until 7 p.m. Saturday for people to cast ballots ahead of the Nov. 4 general election.

Early voting totals set a record early this week. Gov. Charlie Crist ordered hours to be extended to handle the heavy turnout.

By Tuesday, more than 33,000 votes had already been cast, Pasco Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley announced about unofficial totals. That easily eclipsed the grand total for early voting in the 2004 presidential election.

"What that equates to is approximately every six seconds a voter is processed," Corley said in a press release.

By late Wednesday afternoon, 43,879 ballots had been cast, according to unofficial statistics from Corley's office. Another 30,061 people had requested absentee ballots.

Together, the two figures equaled 73,940, or about 25.11 percent of all registered voters in the county.

The early voting sites here are:

West Pasco Government Center, 7530 Little Road, Suite 110, New Port Richey.

Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road.

South Holiday Branch Library, 4649 Mile Stretch Drive.
