Regarding Rich Lowry's Nov. 8 op-ed page column, "Re-regulating Threatens Our Entrepreneurial Edge," I remember the 1980s very well.
Back then we had high inflation, extremely high interest rates and the savings and loan industry scandal. Our banks were robbed by the smart guys and bailed out by the taxpayers.
