West Pasco Art Guild To Ring In The Holidays

NEW PORT RICHEY - It's that time of the year when one starts to think toward the holidays and the hassles of long lines and the torture of finding the right gift for that special someone.

The West Pasco Art Guild, at the corner of Jefferson Street and Missouri Avenue, can assist by playing host to an array of events during the holiday shopping season. This first is a one day arts, crafts and antique fair from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., next Saturday.

On Nov. 22, about 15 artists and crafters will display their one-of-kind originals at the gallery. The occasion will be open to the public to purchase unique items. Individuals who wish to display their creations should contact the Art Guild. Table set-up will occur on Friday, Nov. 21.

"Included in the sale will be a clothesline art sale where original, unframed artwork will be hung from a clothes line that will be strung throughout the main gallery. The artwork will available at deeply discounted prices," said Jean Metzenthin, a guild member.

Also attendees can purchase art supplies.

In addition, the guild will hold its fifth annual Holiday Boutique, from Nov.22 until Dec. 20. It will provide gifts for the fussy shopper. Included in the boutique will be hand dyed scarves, handmade jewelry and ceramics, which are sculptured, glazed and fired on the premises.

Lastly, the guild will present an "Evening of Arts and Music," 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, during which the Suncoast Harmony Chorus will perform throughout the evening. Refreshments will be available for a donation to the Art Guild.

To lend itself to the season the Art Guild will be decorated for the holidays.
