There goes James Hibbs again, letting his mouth run ahead of any research.
In his pre-election op-ed page column he wrote, "The argument against gay marriage is entirely religious gibberish."
After the election – and not liking the results of the referendum on Proposition 2 – he wrote that people who voted for the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment "did it just because they could."
That sounds like former President Bill Clinton's "because I could" explanation for his affair with Monica Lewinsky.
Did James ask even one person who voted for Proposition 2 why they did so? I think they voted their moral conscience.
Even people who don't check out God's plan for humankind have some sense of morality.
I hope the great university James attends will teach him to do a little research before displaying his intolerance for others' views.
God has a great life planned for James, if he just does the research.
Yes, sadly, Proposition 2 passed by only a slim margin, but many of us will pray that God will bless our nation and our marriages between one man and one woman.
God created, ordained and defined marriage.
