I am old and smoke and I am grateful to the youth of America.
These young people gave of their time and came to remote counties such as Pasco.
They put America, indeed the world, before their own personal lives, these Obama fellows.
I am grateful for the young people who stood in line and voted for the first time. I am grateful for the older Americans who had not voted in many years or have never voted.
They had the courage to vote for America rather than a political party.
I am grateful for the unique responsibility and privilege of being an American.
And I am grateful for the opportunity to experience a moment in which I was reassured that America is indeed a brilliant idea held together by the elevated conscience of its people and supported and encouraged by the children of its children.
