In response to Dorothy Krueger's Oct. 29 letter about the food bank that gives food to people who drive Cadillacs pulling boats, never judge other people without walking in their shoes.
First, I have never seen a person pulling a boat, I have seen people with nice cars and I have seen people with old cars. Also some of our volunteers have nice cars as well. How does Ms. Krueger know if that person didn't lose his or her job and are about to have that car reprocessed.
Should we, as humans, set ourselves up as a judge and make everyone march to our drumbeat? We need to have compassion and understanding when we serve the less fortunate of our society.
We use forms from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to determine each person's qualification to receive food from the Volunteer Way Food Bank. Our goal is to help feed the less fortunate. We do not judge people by the vehicles they drive or the cloths the wear nor should Ms. Krueger. I invite her or any other concerned person who would like to see our operation to call me to set up a tour at 727-815-0433
