Thank you for the May 7 article on Lynne Boismier and her piggy sanctuary, Noah's Ark Pot Belly Pig Rescue. Being a "city girl" and not knowing a thing about pigs, my volunteer time at the sanctuary has been an educational and rewarding experience.
I am currently unable to have a pot-bellied pig at my home, so I sponsor two pigs at Noah's Ark, Porky and Arnold. It is an inexpensive and rewarding way of helping out.
It has been amazing to learn the various personalities of the piggies, as well as learning how smart they are.
Not only does the sanctuary need donations, it also needs people to come out and socialize with the pigs that are unable to be with other pigs.
By the way, the pig with Lynne in the photo on page one of your May 7 editions is not Porky, as the caption states. That's Amy.
