I don't know what he does for a living, but Alan Waishkey, author of the June 18 letter to the editor "A Start," should move to Washington, D.C., and smarten up the people in Congress.
The seven suggestions he made for changes to our public policy, including abolishing the IRS, bringing home our troops and ending pork-barrel spending, sound good to me. If they were all applied we get a lot more of the people's business done.
My suggestion would be to wipe the slate clean and start all over again. What do we have to lose?
