Our family had tickets for the June 7 graduation ceremony at Hudson High School. We were looking forward to seeing our granddaughter graduate.
We were greatly disappointed, however, when we reached the campus only to discover our seats were already occupied and additional seats were "held" or "saved" by other groups of people. We had to observe the ceremony from such a distance we were unable to see our granddaughter receive her diploma.
It was unfortunate that no ushers were present to honor ticket holders or assist families with seating. Conversely, it seems unfair to have circulated tickets if all seats were open.
We cannot change what happened June 7 but hope future graduation ceremonies will be better organized, allowing families a greater opportunity to observe their children and grandchildren receive their diplomas.
