Could Be Worse

Just when I think people are finally seeing the light, a letter to the editor like Joan Atkins' of July 19 shows up and I see it can still get worse.
She would have all pro-gun citizens vote for McCain since he's pro gun control. Forget about the economy, health issues, the war that's draining us dry, decrease in jobs, foreclosures of a multitude of homes, etc. etc. Just let everyone have a gun.
That will probably add to suicides because of our multitude of problems. Killings over a fender bender and who knows how many young children will accidentally shoot themselves when they can reach for dad's – or mom's – gun on the shelf.
Why doesn't Ms. Atkins try to come up with a reason to make life better for all of us rather than worse?
