Kudos and thanks to the New Port Richey Police Department for its professionalism and quick response Sunday evening to a situation in the Briar Patch community.
Alert residents were concerned about a neighbor who had not been seen for a few days. The New Port Richey police were called and within minutes four officers were at the scene. They went about their work calmly and explained the protocol they had to follow.
Upon gaining access to the home the officers located the resident and quickly called paramedics, who arrived in moments.
Thanks to the alert neighbors and the New Port Richey police, hopefully, a tragic situation was prevented.
