HUDSON, Fla. - HUDSON, Fla. - The Pasco Sheriff's Office vice-narcotics unit is dismantling a large marijuana grow-house operation.
Detectives acting on a tip have found 100 pot plants being grown inside a house on Canton Drive, the Sheriff's Office announced shortly after 2 p.m. today.
Fifty of the plants, detectives say, are large, standing 5 to 6 feet tall.
The total street value of the plants in the home is $200,000, detectives estimate.
The area where the grow operation was discovered was in the garage, with a second grow area in the pantry.
Detectives at the scene and are interviewing one suspect. They anticipate making at least one arrest, which is pending, according to Doug Tobin, Sheriff's Office public information officer.
