Over years of service to those in need, I have learned that people can live without a lot of things in their life. Those of us who serve on the front line are confronted with the pain and suffering of the needy on a daily basis. We see that the power of prayer moves people's hearts. Needs are met, and lives restored.
Every year, with the help of a caring community, we organize a wide variety of programs and services offering help and hope. We find answered prayers in the community's loving acts.
This year, the community's acts of generosity and kindness took on many forms: volunteering in our programs; providing gifts for a child; sponsoring a food drive; donating storage space when we were running low.
Meeting people at their point of greatest need is what our community does best. These acts of kindness warmed a heart, touched a soul and put a twinkle in someone's eye.
Thanks to everyone who helped and may they experience the love and hope they so generously shared with others during the holiday season.
