Chasco Talent Search Auditions Jan. 19

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Free auditions for the annual Chasco Fiesta Talent Search will take place next Saturday.

The Jan. 19 event will start at 9 a.m. at Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand Blvd.

Performers will compete for a chance to entertain the public during a concert on Sunday, March 30, in Sims Park, during Chasco Fiesta, according to a press release from Wendy Brenner, Chasco executive director.

The 2008 edition of the Chasco Fiesta will take place from March 27 through April 6.

SBray Productions, in association with the Chasco Fiesta Entertainment Committee, is staging the auditions. Hyundai of New Port Richey is sponsoring the talent search.

Finalists will earn career consultations, photo sessions and more.

Singers, dancers, musicians, bands, comedians and other performers are welcomed. Preferred ages are 5-25.

Auditions will be viewed and scored by entertainment professionals to determine the finalists.
