This is in response to the "Teach science" letter to the editor in your Dec. 29 editions.
The God of the Bible has shown us exactly why the Earth seems to be billions of years old. The scientists were not there when the Earth was made and neither were their instruments. All they can do is try to gauge how old Earth is from what they see.
Genesis 8, in the Bible, tells of a great flood that filled the whole Earth. This flood would throw any scientific instrumentation off because things would seem older.
It is sad that the religion of Evolution – Humanism – can be taught in school but not the truth of Creation or the Bible. Evolution is constantly changing but Creation has and will always be scientifically correct and unchanging.
The Bible has never been proven wrong and should be the basis for science.
