Smokers Don't Care

Regarding Jeannine Folden's Dec. 13 letter to the editor, "Protect Mother Nature," over the years there have been hundreds of letters about smokers. I think it's time they stop.
Smokers will continue to smoke on the beach and put out their butts in the sand. They will even walk into the gulf and drop cigarettes in the surf. God forbid they should go a few minutes without a puff. When they are driving, the butts fly out the window. And they will light up just as they are entering a store for a few quick tokes before dropping the butt on the sidewalk.
So Jeannine should not feel bad about being a do-gooder, as she wrote. Smokers don't consider our environment. They don't care about pollution, littering or anyone. And they don't care about Jeannine and letters to the editor.
