NEW PORT RICHEY - Two minds and two organizations are better than one.
Two local art organizations, the Pasco Arts Council and the West Pasco Art Guild, have joined forces to present an art exhibit, "Through the Painter's Eye."
"Part of our commitment to Pasco County is to arrange and promote arts and culture through exhibits at the Government Center," Laura Know of the Pasco Arts Council said, referring to the West Pasco Government Center.
The exhibit showcases about 40 pieces of new artwork by local artists who are members of the art guild. The guild is at the corner of Jefferson Street and Missouri Avenue in historic downtown New Port Richey. It includes watercolors, acrylics and oil paintings.
A select number of artwork is available to purchase through arrangements made with the Pasco Arts Council by calling 727-845-7322, Tuesday through Saturdays.
The exhibit is in the main building of the West Pasco Government Center, at the end of Citizen Drive, and is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until Jan. 5, 2009.
This public exhibition is sponsored by the Pasco Arts Council, with support from the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
