NEW PORT RICHEY - Numerous noise complaints against a Trinity-area bar and grill might wind up in court soon.
The next citation in the works against Alligators Bar and Grill will include a mandatory appearance before a judge for the restaurant's owner, code enforcement officials reported during today's County Commission meeting.
The restaurant, at 3523 Little Road, near S.R. 54, features live entertainment.
Commissioners heard from two residents who testified that music is clearly audible inside homes within Seven Springs Golf and Country Club. The gated community is across a six-lane segment of Little Road from the eatery.
The noise problem has persisted for more than a year despite several citations, the residents said.
The establishment has been advertising that it has live entertainment Wednesday through Saturday nights, but county regulations don't permit it in that area, according to code enforcement officials.
A message was left for the restaurant's developer, Warren Dunphy, but he wasn't immediately available for comment.
Commission Chairman Jack Mariano said he knows the owner and might speak with him about a possible solution before the case winds up in court.
