Regarding Joan Atkins' letter "No Left Turn," in which she urged people not to vote for Barack Obama, I'm more interested in the issues, not money, money, money.
Sen. Obama is not "obligated" to Hillary Clinton, as Atkins maintained, but I certainly would like to see universal health care. I stand in line at Wal-Mart and cannot understand how many people can pay for their medications, unless they aren't shopping in the supermarket.
McCain agrees with a person from New Mexico who says we should go back to Afghanistan, where we never should have left, and since our troops are on their last legs already, installing a draft would be a good idea. My young grandsons don't like that idea.
Back to money. When McCain abolishes abortion, where is the money coming from to support the unwanted children? Grandparents could raise them or the mother could give up her schooling and chance for any kind of life. Of course there's always the foster-care-to-foster-care system.
Stop thinking money for a second and look at the many other issues that no president could ever solve in four years, which is what McCain said he would be if elected. Even he realizes his time for such a job is limited.
